The first quarter of 2015 strengthened positive tendencies in increasing of real estate volume of sales. This improvement happened in 2014, when according to the statistics of the Ministry of country development, decline in demand started slowing. In the second quarter 80722 real estate items were sold. Of course, this indicator was 4,2% lower, comparing with the similar period of 2012, the drawdown rates decreased noteworthily and investments in houses, apartments and land property started growing.
Even the first quarter of 2015 demonstrated that it was the end of crisis time and for the first time during the last seven years the cost of real estate in Spain increased for almost 2,7% comparing with the previous year. The year was very difficult for the state and real estate items lost 40% of their value. In spring 2015, the demand among foreign buyers increased up to 8,5%, besides 12,2% of the real estate was bought by foreigners. It means that each 12th house or apartment is bought by the non-resident of Spain.
Significant role in stabilization and further development of this economy sphere was played by realtors who worked via internet. During 2004-2014 years the quantity of people who started working like freelancers in Spain, increased up to 51%. Freelancers are also in the list of real estate buyers so far as they needed personal space for working. Thus, remote employees might be considered as one of the most important reasons of real estate volume of sales growth in the Basque Country. It is possible to state with certainty that their impact on real estate market will only increase.
